Derek Webb's 'Mockingbird' Celebrates 10 Years with Reimagined Remix Release; Album Comes to Vinyl for First Time

Derek Webb

Indie experimental pioneer Derek Webb is currently celebrating the 10 year anniversary of his ground breaking album Mockingbird.

"mockingbird turns 10 this year, and was a landmark album for me in so many ways. i want to do a few special things to commemorate, including a limited pressing of vinyl, a remix album, and a limited number of mockingbird house shows, and i would love for you to help: http://kck.st/1ThmMyb" Webb wrote on Facebook.

Webb's album was praised for bringing out the singer's though provoking voice. According to a video announcement, it also served as the catlyst behind founding Noisetrade.

Webb made a kickstarter campaign for a new Mockingbird reimagined and remixed album and will also be pressing the album to vinyl for the first time. He will do this by taking the isolated vocals and building the song around it. Webb will then perform the new album in select living room, and one time live with a full band.

The kickstarter campaign has already been fully funded. You can visit the campaign page here.
