The newly released trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes gives fans insight into the film's story before its onset appearance in theaters set for July 11.

The trailer is less than three minutes long which is just enough to excite the fans and entice them to replay it over and over again. In the first few scenes of the trailer, tension between the apes and the human survivors is already apparent.

Some websites have already rated the trailer giving it an 8.6 rating out of 10 and according to the rottentomatoes.com, "With intelligence and emotional resonance to match its stunning special effects, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes expands on its predecessor with an exciting and ambitious burst of sci-fi achievement," the site explained.

The story of the upcoming film is based on the previous movie which is Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Scientists developed a virus in a laboratory to increase the intellect of apes which happened to spread throughout the world. And now, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes starts with the Apes ruling the Earth where they have claimed as their home.

While the main conflict as seen in the trailer is the human dire effort to survive, it seems as though both humans and apes do not want to eradicate each other. However, certainly some characters will not share the same sentiments and want to eliminate the opposing race.

The trailer surely resists in hinting who will win the war in the end, but it provides fans with the information needed to expect major combat and strife.
