Zschech announced on her blog in December that she was diagnosed with breast cancer after attending a routine mammogram. In her latest post she details the things that have kept her going

"Would I rather NOT be walking through this? Absolutely, however what I am learning is that God is close to the brokenhearted in ways I only dreamed of and this brings me ENDLESS HOPE," she wrote.

Zschech says that her heart goes out to all living though cancer like she is, so she wanted to provide a list of things that are lifting her up through this time of need.

At the top of her list is, "THE WORD." The singer noted, "This has been my top priority. I have a folder of daily scriptures to read over myself which my darling friend Miriam Webster made up for me. These scriptures lead me to continued HOPE and TRUST. Declaring scripture and reading it loud when my heart trembles or my emotions go AWOL."

Zschech said that through the treatment she has been "super tired." SO, reading out loud helps her greatly. She also said she is subscribed to Joyce Meyer, Nicky Gumbal, and Ps Joseph Prince daily bible studies on her phone.

Next on her list is "PRAYING FRIENDS AND FAMILY." Stating that there are times that she can "literally feel the prayers of the saints close and afar" "carrying" her. Zcshech goes on to say that at times she is unable to utter a prayer but she knows "someone is praying," and that brings her great comfort.

"My hubby is my rock, my girls are fiercely loyal and covered by many prayers and supported by friends.. my heart is SO thankful," she notes about the support she is receiving from those closes to her.

Of course "WORSHIP" is on the popular worshipers list. She explains that the word of God is clear in the Bible when it tells us to bring "our prayers, our worship, our songs, before, during and after any storms."

"I sit at my piano when I can and simply love Jesus. I open the Psalms and let my heart come out," she said "I play worship songs, many instrumentals or free worship moments I find on live albums by many of my faves."

Zschech also adds, "GREAT FOOD" to that list pointing out that it has been "trial and error" for her. She explains that with the type of chemo she is on she has to have food cooked to keep germs at bay not doing so landed her in the hospital "a few times" she says. "AS your taste buds die off, it's hard to always know, but doing my best thanks to family and friends cooking like champions for me AND my family."

The successful songwriter says "EXERCISE" is also instrumental even though she has not been able to manage anything other than walking for the time being. "I am walking whenever I can. The sunshine is a great place to find yourself thanking God for every day, and the walking is a great way to keep your system feeling at its best despite everything," she describes.

The Australian native adds "LAUGHTER" to the list of things that have helped her along the way. "Doctors appointments can be very confronting," she states "A merry soul definitely does good like a medicine. Thank You Proverbs 17:22!!"

She advises people struggling with cancer like she is to "JUST DO WHAT YOU CAN." She recommends, "Don't push yourself just be kind to yourself."

Zschech ends her list of tips by saying to keep "A GOOD JOURNAL." "Writing down my thoughts which I will gather later. Writing down the God whispers and even the days of silence. Writing down how my body feels on certain days so I am more prepared next treatment. Writing down scriptures that those I trust to speak into my situation have felt to share with me."

She makes light of her situation by saying she now has a vast collection of head gear and wraps to help her "feel good" while she has lost her hair. She concludes her blog by thanking everyone and declares, "God is faithful and I see the horizon and it looks GOOD!!!"

Many have labeled Zschech as a "pioneer of the modern worship movement." Her biggest song to date is, "Shout to the Lord" as it has become one of the most famous modern worship songs of all time being sung by an estimated 25-30 million churchgoers since the song's release. Along with her husband they currently senior pastors of Hope Unlimited Church.

Hebrews 12:4 from the Message translation "God means what He says, what He says goes. His powerful word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to Gods word. We can't get away from it, no matter what."
