'Daredevil' Netflix Release Date: Promo Teaser & Poster Launched for New Superhero Show

Along with an official release date for the highly-anticipated Marvel Netflix series, 'Daredevil', superhero fans also received a promo teaser and a poster.

The action-thriller will be set to release on Netflix on April 10, 2015. As per Netflix's system, every episode will be released that day for the first Season, a total of 13 episodes.

On that note, Marvel has released this plot synopsis and a casting report:

"'Daredevil' follows the adventures of blind lawyer Matt Murdoch who becomes an acrobatic superhero on New York's streets by night. 'Boardwalk Empire' star Charlie Cox plays the title role, with Rosario Dawson and Deborah Ann Woll also on board. Vincent D'Onofrio is the bad guy Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin."

"The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson with Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. Also starring are Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsley, Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley, Vondie Curtis-Hall as Ben Urich."

While an official trailer or any footage of the actual show hasn't been released yet, fans of the series should be hearing word about a video clip soon.

Marvel has only began integrating their comic book world into television, but this will be the first time they collaborate with Netflix for a series.

This, however, won't be the last time they will experimenting with this medium. In fact they've already announced some of the series they're planning on accompanying 'Daredevil'.

"Martial arts master Iron Fist is yet to be cast, while 'Breaking Bad' star Kristen Ritter will play superhero-turned-private eye Jessica Jones, and 'Good Wife' alum Mike Colter will take on the role of the near-indestructible Luke Cage," according to CNET.

The plan is to at one point integrate all of these series into their own mini Marvel cinematic universe. Each of these shows brings a darker, more sinister outlook on that world, and it will be something different for fans of the genre.
