Dancing With The Stars Season 18: Candace Cameron Bure Shined for Jesus Throughout Entire Competition and Won the Hearts of America (VIDEO)

After a full season of covering Candace Cameron Bure's journey on "Dancing with the Stars" it is all over. The former "Full House" actress did not take home the Mirror Ball trophy, but she won over the hearts of America and provided a Godly example of a strong and beautiful Christian woman.

During the finale, Bure walked through what she thought was her best and worst moments throughout the competition were.

Bure said one of her most memorable dances was the cha cha cha because she never wants to see it again. She went on to say her most pivotal moment was when she sat down with a sports psychologist due to her nervousness in front of the camera, and she discovered that she is a perfectionist. Finally Bure named the Argentine tango dance number as her favorite.

From the first show all the way to the last, Bure's Christian faith shined through and she never shied away from talking openly about it. In the season's finale of the competition, Bure once again pointed the audience to God. "I know how hard I've worked so if this is where God has placed me, then this is where God has placed me," she said.

Bure and Ballas were the underdogs of the competition and as fan favorites, made it all the way to the finals. The actress set the tone from the beginning of the show. Before Bure showcased her first dance on the contest, a contemporary number with partner Ballas, she made sure to make mention of her belief.

"The two most important things in my life are my faith and my family and I know that is what is going to get me through this competition," Bure told the cameras before her first dance.

Throughout the season judges urged Bure to be sexier. After her rumba routine, Bure was questioned on her noble position to keep things classy. The actress responded, "I feel like a sexual woman, I've been married for 18 years, I am a sexual woman; but I want to reserve certain things for my husband so I think we did the best that we could with a rumba that I still felt comfortable doing."

Another time Bure told the cameras, "I'm a Christian, my life revolves around my relationship with Jesus Christ. So with the overall tone of the dance, with the costumes I'm not going to take a back seat my voice will definitely be heard."

Bure had struggles with her nerves and suffered some injuries during her time on the show but maintained that, "Going through the struggles that I have, I draw on my faith in everything in my life and then knowing that my family is encouraging me, it makes a huge difference."

Although Bure and her partner came in third place of "Dancing with the Stars," because of her faith and how she boldly shared it to mainstream America week after week, fans had nothing but praise for the mother of three.

"Wish you would have won the mirror ball but you won so many hearts, it really doesn't matter!" a Facebook fan wrote.

Another post read, "You proved that you can have fun, work hard & keep your faith. Thank you for letting CHRIST shine thru."

Upon hearing that she came in third Bure, declared that she felt like a winner already. Perhaps it is as she stated earlier in the show, she was "really performing for an audience of one, and that's for God."
