Executive producers for "Dads," (Seth MacFarlane, Alec Sulkin, and Wellesley Wild) have not particularly strayed away from controversy and racist remarks in their careers. In fact, Seth MacFarlane's "Family Guy" survives on controversy. However, Guy Aoki of the Media Action Network for Asian Americans claims that "Dads" took the jokes too far. One of the main tropes from the pilot of "Dads" features a "sexy Asian schoolgirl" and one of the characters refers to Asians as "Orientals." Aoki says, "FOX has an opportunity to fix fatal flaws in the pilot and to improve the show's chances for success when it premieres. We are asking you to reshoot the inappropriate scenes of the pilot."
