'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Spoilers: BAU Team Moves to Virginia to Hunt Down Killer in 'Fate'

In 'Criminal Minds' Season 10 Episode 9 entitled "Fate," viewers will see the Behavioral Analysis Unit, an elite squad of FBI, move to Virginia to locate a suspect who is driven by an urge to kill. Additionally, a member of the BAU team will be receiving appalling news.

The official trailer of "Fate" reveals a young woman screaming in shock, saying "I'm your daughter." Beyond that, the next episode, according to CarterMatt, will also focus on Rossi.

In the meantime, CBS has released an official synopsis for Episode 9 which reads, "The BAU investigates random murders in northern Virginia and searches for a conflicted UnSub who has an uncontrollable urge to kill, but is also filled with remorse."

It goes on to state, "Meanwhile, Rossi receives a visit from a woman who could hold a secret from his past."

In the previous episode, entitled "The Boys of Sudworth Place," viewers saw two young men named Chad and Andrew kidnapping Jack Westbrook, a well-known defense lawyer. Entertainment Weekly reports that the lawyer was abducted as the two were seeking revenge for sexually abusing them when they were children.

Chad and Andrew take the lawyer and confine him to a cell. They torture him with water blasts and broken bottles to force him to confess that he is a pedophile. In the end, one of his abductors shoots Jack dead.

Latin Post reports that this storyline is a reflection of the real-life incident of a notorious college football coach named Jerry Sandusky, who was convicted for exploiting his position of power and charity to wheedle young boys. Sandusky was convicted in June 2012 on the basis of 45 charges of sexual assault against minors. Eventually, he was sentenced to about 30 years in prison.

"Fate" will air on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 9 pm, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. Last but not least, Tina Holmes and Amber Stevens will appear as guest stars.
