'Constantine' Season 2 News, Update: DC Renews Constantine For Another Season On CW

Following the huge success of "Batman V Superman" and the high ratings of its superhero series "Arrow," "Flash," and "Legends of Tomorrow" in the small screen, there are rumors that DC now has plans to revive "Constantine."

However, reports suggest that the series will be aired on a different network since it was previously cancelled by the NBC.

According to reports, the NBC network had to cancel "Constantine" in 2015 because of its lackluster performance in terms of live ratings.

There are speculations that if DC revives the series, it will be shown on CW. In 2015, fans of superhero series saw Matt Ryan play the role of John Constantine in "Arrow," which airs on the CW network along with "Flash." Many believe that his appearance in the said show might mean that the network may consider picking up "Constantine" for a renewed season. Some also point out that after his guest appearance as Constantine, Matt Ryan may join the cast of "Arrow."

However, there are also rumors that the appearance of Constantine in "Arrow" was only a one-shot deal, and it had been planned even before the NBC cancelled the show.

"Constantine" creator David Goyer recently explained the story behind the cancellation of the show on NBC.

"I loved 'Constantine.' In retrospect, I don't think it should have been on NBC. I think it was the wrong channel and I'm sure they probably agree with that as well," he said.

As of now, show creators still have not yet confirmed the revival of the series, although some speculate that it may be the one to replace "Arrow" on CW if it ends at some point in time.
