Comic John Crist defends Lauren Daigle, John Gray, tells critics 'just shut up'

Comedian John Crist, 2018

Christian comedian John Crist criticized critics of singer Lauren Daigle, for avoiding answering a question about homosexuality, and Pastor John Gray, for buying his wife a $200,000 Lamborghini.

Crist took to Instagram last week on a serious note addressing the criticism popular Christians come under. Among those mentioned, he defended Daigle, saying, "Lauren Daigle, has done more for the kingdom in a year, then you will do in five lifetimes, I'm sorry."

The pastor's son then mocked some of Daigle's critics who say, "Wow, I thought she was a Christian?'" calling it a "shallow" argument.

The 27-year-old singer recently came under fire for comments she made in an interview on "The Domenick Nati Show" for iHeart radio. Daigle was asked about her stance, as a Christian, on homosexuality and whether it's a sin.

"I can't honestly answer on that, in the sense of I have too many people that I love and they are homosexuals," Daigle said on the show. "I can't say one way or the other, I'm not God. When people ask questions like that, I just say, 'Read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out let me know because I'm learning too.'"
