Citizen Way New Record, Redeemed Tour & K-Love Awards

Christian newcomers, Citizen Way, have quickly made it clear that they know what it takes to make great music.

The pop-rock band have just recently came into the music scene by releasing their first debut album Love is the Evidence.

The album was produced by Seth Mosley (Hawk Nelson, Audio Adrenaline) and co-written and/or written by the Calhoun brothers of the talented group.

The album was released on April 24 and has already had major success in the charts for Christian music. Love in the Evidence includes their Top 5 Billboard Christian AC Hit, "Should've Been Me", as well as their most current single "Nothing Ever (Could Separate Us)".

Citizen encouraged fans to unlock the evidence ( #Unlockthe Evidence) these last couple of months with exclusive download tracks and streams through multi-media partners.

The band originally grew up in the church ministry and formed the group at their college, Judson University. From there, the band decided on their name from inspiration and their goal as a family to serve the Lord. "CITIZEN WAY means that we are citizens in the kingdom of God following in the way of Jesus. The best thing about our name is that it represents more then just us as a band, it also represents the bigger picture" stated singer Ben Calhoun.

Citizen Way just ended their "Redeemed Tour" with Big Daddy Weave and Chris August back in the first week of May. The tour began on the first of February and stopped in over 38 cities. "Every night, I think the most significant thing for me is, we get to pray for people every night. You cant imagine the things that people come up and have you pray for. Its really humbling and all you can do is recited Gods word with them and let the Holy Spirit do its thing. So that's been the most significant part of the tour for me, but all in all I just love having new friends." stated Ben Calhoun in our interview with him.

Citizen Way will be at the K-Love Awards on May 31-June 1st in Nashville,TN.
