Gay Pride parades were held in mega cities all over the world in the month of June and small groups of Christians made it a point to share the gospel with gay, lesbian, and transgender people in peaceful protests as millions marched in pride throughout the world.

About one million people gathered on Sunday in New York City to celebrate Gay Pride. Millions also gathered for parades which were held in San Francisco, Chicago and even areas throughout France, Spain, Mexico, and Peru, just to name a few.

Although the Christian groups were largely out numbered by people who do not share their Biblical theology, they insisted on peacefully sharing the Bible with the crowds.

In Seattle a group of Christian protesters were escorted by police along the avenue prior to the start of that city's gay pride parade. According digitaljournal.com the group carried signs displaying biblical messages such as "believe in Jesus and be saved" while they walked along the parade route with police officers on bicycles alongside to ensure the safety of the people. One of the protestors used a megaphone to preach to the crowd.

Although the group encountered booing from the crowd and a few same-sex couples kissed in front of them as an act of defiance, everything remained peaceable at the event. At last year's gay pride event in Seattle a brawl erupted as two street preachers were physically assaulted by angry celebrators for sharing Bible verses.

The stigmatism between gay and Christian groups has escalated because although they share different views, the media has publicized the hate from churches who have gone over board. Westboro Baptist Church has been known to discredit the message of the love of God by spewing hateful things against homosexual groups saying, "God hates gays." This year Christians were determined to show the LGBT community that they did not hate them, but only wanted to share the truth of God's word with them.

In London, demotix.com also reported that there was a peaceful protest by a small number of Christians at this year's Pride Parade held over there. The publication says there was some good-humored debate between the two sides.

BreatheCast (BC) asked a participant of the New York City Pride parade in 2014 what he thought about Christians peacefully protesting at Gay Pride parades, "I don't think it's a bad idea however there will be opposition and definitely loads of feed back probably more bad then good, but it is still worth sharing none the less," Joel Angel an established makeup artist from New York told BC.

The division comes because the Bible outwardly speaks against homosexuality in the Old and New Testament. This year's Pride Parades are the first since same-sex marriage was legalized in many states through out America.
