Christian Athletes Kevin Durant and Fiance Monica Wright Split Up Due to Religious Differences, Alleged Cheating Scandal (VIDEO)

It has been revealed that Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is no longer engaged to his fiancé Minnesota Lynx Monica Wright due to religious differences amid rumors alleging Durant cheated on her during their relationship.

"I was engaged last year and it kind of changed that relationship big time because I was going in a direction that unfortunately a lot of people aren't willing to sacrifice their lifestyle for," said Wright when she confirmed that she and Durant are no longer a couple in a discussion at Minnesota Lynx Faith & Family Night on Sunday, according to a Baller Alert.

Wright became engaged to the reigning NBA MVP in July 2013 after the former couple met each other during their last year of high school, when both were star players in basketball.

Unfortunately, there were reports which claim that in addition to religious differences (despite the fact both athletes are both Christians), Durant was not allegedly faithful to her during their relationship, according to an Mstars News report.

"I don't care that KD has a wife, wife or no wife he still f-- the same," wrote a woman named Mercedes via Twitter claiming that she was in an adulterous relationship with the five-time NBA All-Star while he was still dating Wright.

Then the same woman went on social media to further express her serious allegations regarding the popular NBA player who is the current cover athlete in the upcoming 'NBA 2K15' game.

"@KDTrey5 enjoyed seeing you the other night. Men cheat on their wives a lot, stop acting like brand new!," tweeted Mercedes.

If the rumors are true, it would be surprising since Durant has always expressed his strong faith in God numerous times in the past.

"When I came out of the water, I just felt different. Basketball is so important to me and I carry that emotion with me all of the time and before that I would be so mad at the smallest things. My coaches, my teammates, my fans. After that, I was just so positive. Showing God his grace...," said Durant revealed to Hillsong Church members when he was baptized by Pastor Carl Lentz in 2013.
