Christian Artist Adam Cappa Leads Worship in Strip Club; Event Part of Church's Ministry to Exotic Dancers

As part of her church's ongoing outreach to exotic dancers, Pastor Christina Tipton of New Life Christian Fellowship in Flint, Michigan, wanted not just to introduce strippers to Jesus; she wanted to bring the church to the strip club--with a worship concert.

The idea was so edgy--so risky and scandalous--that the first two artists she asked to play the concert said no. Adam Cappa, the third choice, said yes.

"I said, 'gotta tell you it's at a strip club,'" Tipton told Mid-Michigan's ABC12 News. "He said, 'even better.'"

And on Sunday, January 11, with inappropriate pictures covered, families of worshippers sang and danced as they hosted a church service at Flint's Little Darlings. (Read about it here.)

"Truly one of the most powerful events I have ever been [part of]," Cappa posted on his Facebook page. "Within seconds of starting our first song the Spirit of God has so evident. We watched hundreds of people worshiping and dedicating their life to Jesus! So thankful to be a part of this mission. 'Greater things are still to come and greater things are still to be done.'"

The church doesn't know how many girls to whom they've ministered, but they know they made a difference. A number of girls from the trade found Jesus and new careers as a result. Church member Angi Bigelow once danced at Little Darlings and now ministers to girls still dancing. She says she went from feeling "dirty and low" to feeling "like I could explode from joy."

ABC12 reported that Little Darlings closed its doors, as many of its dancers got out of the business.

Additionally, Cappa shared that apparently the cameraman from ABC12 gave his life to Jesus that night as they were worshipping.
