Dove Award-winning singer/songwriter Cheri Keaggy is back in the studio to record her ninth album, No Longer My Own, and has turned to Kickstarter to fund the new project.

Keaggy previously used Kickstarter on her 2012 release, So I Can Tell, and after a successful campaign is returning.

"John 16:33 says, I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. In these troubled times, this is a message I believe the world needs to hear," Keaggy said in a press release, "He is my passion and I seek to know Him and continue to make Him known to anyone who will listen."

Primarily focusing her talents on the piano, Keaggy has already spent time in the studio with her uncle, Gospel Music Hall of Famer and guitar legend Phil Keaggy, making new songs for the project. Some of the upcoming song names are, "Breathing Your Air," "Jesus, One and Only," "No Longer My Own," and "Overcome."

Fans can help Keaggy produce No Longer My Own by backing her Kickstarter campaign, which was launched November 17. The project will only be funded if at least $25,000 is pledged by Thursday, December 18, 2014 7:00 pm CST. Donations can be as little as $1 with the max being $5,000. So far Keaggy has raised over $3,000 toward her goal, and still has 25 days to go.

Keaggy is offering backers a wide assortment of perks, ranging from digital downloads of the completed project to autographed collector's posters to a free Cheri Keaggy concert and more. Pledges to Keaggy's No Longer My Own Kickstarter campaign can be made here.
