Celebrities Tweet About Easter 2014; Many Stars Remember Jesus on the Holiest of Days

In 2013 many celebrities tweeted their wishes for Easter, but which of these stars actually celebrate the real reason for the holiday?

BreatheCast takes a look at what some of the biggest names in Hollywood had to say about the holiday.

As Easter approaches many in mainstream culture are getting ready to celebrate bunnies, eggs, and chocolate, but for Christians it is the pivotal moment in which Believers base their faith, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Carrie Underwood

American Idol winner andcountry music singerCarrie Underwood grew up singing in church and last Easter she made sure to point out who the special occasion is celebrating.

The singer tweeted,"Happy Easter to all! Even the grave could [n't] stop Jesus' love for us! He is risen and He lives in all of us! Hope you all have a blessed day!"

Jim Carrey

Canadian comedic actor Jim Carrey attended Catholic School growing up and he revealed that he believes in the teaching of Christ's resurrection last Easter with his tweet.

"Jesus was the ultimate example of forgiveness faith and renewal. Let's lift our spirits to a brighter place, today. Happy Easter everyone!" he wrote.

Nicki Minaj

Rapper Nicki Minaj was raised in a Christian home with a mother who is still very devoted to church today. The New York raised emcee showed that she valued Jesus' resurgence over what is widely commercially pushed.

"The Resurrection >>>>>> easter outfits, easter eggs, easter bunnies," Minaj tweeted.

Russell Brand

Russell Brand is not known at all for practicing Christianity. He in fact has been linked to the Hare Krishna Movement and often speaks about Transcendental Meditation, but last Easter he tweeted about both Jesus and the resurrection.

"Resurrection! New beginnings! Elevation of consciousness! Jesus back again! ....Happy Easte...," he posted.

During Easter, church attendance is always overwhelmingly high. Most people who do not attend services on a regular basis usually take time for church on that particular Sunday.

Professional dancer Julianne Hough tweeted of her church attendance, "On our way to church for Easter Sunday." Television Host Conan O'Brien went as well, he joked about his church experience, "Just went to Easter Mass in Atlanta. This woman is rocking the bonnet I was going to wear."

Other Celebrities did not make it clear if they were celebrating Jesus or bunnies, but their message hinted to spirituality.

Kourtney Kardashian: "Wishing everyone a very blessed and happy Easter Sunday!"

Valerie Bertinelli: "Hope everyone is having a happy and blessed Easter."

Justin Bieber: "Easter. #Blessed."

Britney Spears: "Happy Easter! Blessed to be spending the day with my family back home (...missing my little @hannahspears though, she doesn't like to fly.)"

Miranda Kerr: "Happy Easter and many blessings to all."

Alicia Keys: "Happy Sunday!! Happy Easter!! Easter suits and baskets!! Gotta love daddy's and nana's ;-) Have a blessed day!!"
