Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling band Casting Crowns last month released their new single, "Only Jesus," and is currently gearing up for the final leg of their "The Very Next Thing Tour." "Only Jesus" is the title track from the group's upcoming studio project scheduled to be released later this fall.
"There's much talk these days about legacy," shares Casting Crowns' frontman Mark Hall about the new song. "How do we want to be remembered? The more I think about it the more I'm reminded that anything in me that's worth remembering are the things that Jesus has worked on, and is still working on in me."
He adds, "On my own I have nothing to offer the world, but Jesus does - so don't mind me. Jesus is the only name to remember," Hall concludes, paraphrasing their latest single.
It has now been more than two years since Casting Crowns released their full-length album The Very Next Thing in 2016. The project resulted in multiple radio singles such as "One Step Away," "God of All My Days," and the heartfelt, Grammy-nominated song, "Oh, My Soul."
In keeping with their identity, Casting Crowns maintains strong roots in the local church where they continue to serve. The band says it is their true connection to their fans and listeners that has sustained the group, which has now surpassed more than eleven million albums sold.
Wrapping up their summer tour dates on Oct. 1, Casting Crowns are heading straight into the last leg of their "The Very Next Thing" tour, kicking off on Oct. 2 with special guest I Am They. They will conclude 2018 with their annual "It's Finally Christmas" tour with special guest Hannah Kerr. For tickets and more information, please visit their tour page.
