Casting Crowns Reaches Rare Milestone With 10 Million Albums Sold

Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns has just eclipsed the 10 million mark as far as total albums sold, catapulting the Christian band into record sales history.

But they are not done yet as the group-composed of Mark Hall, Megan Garrett, Melodee Devevo, Juan DeVevo, Josh Mix, Chris Huffman, Brian Scoggin-will again release another album called, "The Very Next Thing," on Sept. 16 under Beach Street and Reunion Records.

Terry Hemmings, president of CEO Provident Music Group, said that it's a privilege for the studio to be representing the band.

"The fact that Casting Crowns has done so, and in a relatively short period of time, clearly speaks to the power of the songs and the message this band has communicated over the last 13 years," he said. "It's a testimony to the impact of their hard work and dedication to ministry. We are so grateful to walk alongside Casting Crowns and be part of sharing their music with the world."

Despite the band's enormous success, Casting Crowns is still serving the local church where they began, a place where the band says they receive inspiration for new albums.

According to the band, "The Very Next Thing" is full of intimate songs as well as upbeat, fresh sounding tracks that will meet the listener with lyrics that impact with a strong message song after song.

Just recently, the group received four nominations from the GMA Dove Awards in the categories Song of the Year, Worship Album of the Year, Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year, and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year.

Casting Crowns have so far won 17 Dove Awards from a total of 42 nominations throughout their career.
