The shooting that occurred in Charleston North Carolina have left many across the country in a state of shock and horror. Christian entertainer and evangelist, Carman Licciardello, is looking to go straigh to the source of the mourning bring a litle hope and restoration.

"I DECIDED, I'M GOING TO CHARLESTON, SC" Carman wrote on a Facebook post yesterday. "I was reading the comments under the last post 'Police and the Race Issue' and realized once again how much more we all have to understand about our society. I'm so glad I have honest people not afraid to share their views. We have so much insight to offer each other and we must always keep our hearts open to listen and learn."

Carman shared that for 12 years, he was one of the "few caucasians" who attended a church very similar to the church that was attacked.

"I went to every Sunday morning, Sunday night, Wednesday night and Friday prayer service. If this happened 20 years ago, it could have been me sitting in one of those pews," he shared. "This tragedy really hit home. We can debate and analyze this incident forever but the real test is always gonna be 'So what are you going to do about it'?"

Carman said he is going to use his ministry to "do what I know," which is to help usher in healing to those affected.

"I decided that our first weekend back after this break I will 1. Bring our full concert production to Charleston SC and do a FUNDRAISER for this church body. If that particular church is too small we'll find another one nearby. 2. I want to give Free tickets to anyone who was involved that night and thier families 3. Let all youth 18 and under in Free and 4. Give the church 100% of the love offering," he posted.

Carman's soul interest is to minister to them, pray for them and offer support as a fellow Christian. "I'll bring the best I have to these hurting people in Charleston, SC. I will keep you all aware of the progress and the process along the way. My hope is that this will inspire others to set aside our political and social analysis for now and extend ourselves, out of our comfort zones, to actually get out to where the real damage was done and lend a hand."

The singer then encouraged people to "offer services" and lend a hand to those hurting in that community. He also requested that people add this event to their prayer list in order to see it come to fruition.
