Independent recording artist Bryan Popin is celebrating his fourth Top 30 single on Billboard with his latest radio single "Step In The Name." The single is a cut from the New Jersey native's Billboard No. 1 chart-topping project I Got Out and has maintained its Top 30 position for three weeks on Billboard's Gospel Airplay chart.
Nicknamed "Little Boy Wonder" by the legendary Stevie Wonder and with songwriting contributions for R&B legend Chaka Khan and on male pop group NSYNC's multi-platinum album Celebrity, the songwriter, producer and classically trained pianist Popin continues to build momentum with his latest single.
"Step In The Name" marks Popin's fourth career Top 30 single, preceded by "I Can Make It," "Such A Time As This," and his latest album's title track "I Got Out." The song is a funky pop groove track coupled with assertive lyrics, and for the music video, Popin brought together his family, fans, and a star-studded line-up doing cameo appearances.
The single, which has generated over 1.5 million audio and visual streams, features Hollywood producer, best-selling author, renowned preacher and motivational speaker Devon Franklin, his wife American actress Megan Good, American Actor and stand up-comedian David Mann, Billboard No. 1 recording artists; Travis Greene, Jekalyn Carr, Jermaine Dolly and leading faith-based nationally syndicated radio hosts Willie Moore, Jr. and Darlene McCoy, among others.
Popin recently appeared with Mary Mary star Erica Campbell on her show "Get Up, Mornings with Erica Campbell" where the two discussed family, being a dad with six children, priorities, and taking a step towards change, unity, and coming together with what Popin describes as "a little funky feel-good music."
