Blackberry Classic Specs, Features Leaked: Upcoming Smartphone Similar to Previous Models

The latest leaked pictures of the BlackBerry Classic is making the rounds on the Internet and suggests that the Canadian smartphone manufacturer's upcoming device will look very much like the previous models released withing the last few years.

On that note, the latest reports hint that the BlackBerry Classic will be launched sometime in November.

Recently, N4BB posted the latest photos of the purported BlackBerry Classic, which was previously called the BlackBerry Q20. From the looks of the latest device, it is evident that it is similar to earlier BlackBerry models like the BlackBerry Q10, the BlackBerry Curve, and the BlackBerry Bold smartphones, which were released by the company within the last few years.

The BlackBerry Classic retains the same kind of physical QWERTY keyboard as well as the five-button navigation keys, which are common in the older phones released by BlackBerry.

On the other hand, the latest BlackBerry smartphone does not show any enhancements from its recent predecessor, the BlackBerry Z10. It retains the same MSM8960 dual-core 1.5GHz CPU together with 2GB RAM, in addition to the same 8-megapixel primary as well as 2-megapixel secondary cameras of the Z10.

If the recently leaked specs for the forthcoming BlackBerry Classic are found to be true, it means that the smartphone will come with a 3.46-inch touchscreen display having 720 x 720 pixel resolution. It will also run by a dual-core Snapdragon CPU with 1.56 GHz clock speed and have 16 GB internal memory, which is expandable by using a microSD card. In addition, the device will also have 2 GB RAM.

The Blackberry Classic will come with an 8-megapixel primary camera with various capabilities, including auto-focus, backside illumination, flash, 5 element F2.2 lens, continuous and touch to focus.

The camera will allow the users to stabilize image and video, not to mention it has capabilities like 5x digital zoom, 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps, 2DOF video stabilization.

In addition to the BlackBerry physical keyboard, the upcoming BlackBerry Classic will also have the iconic Optical Trackpad with the Escape Key positioned in its right side and the Menu Key in the left. However, the new TrackPad apparently does not illuminate when touched.

On that note, the purported BlackBerry Classic will be available in two colors - black and white.
