Billboard Music Awards 2014 Michael Jackson Xcape Performance Video Receives Mixed Reaction From Viewers

There were many memorable segments at last night's Billboard Music Awards, highlighted by the hologram performance of the deceased pop star Michael Jackson, which received a mixed reaction on social media.

"He's baaaccck!," wrote Dallas Mavericks owner and "Shark Tank" star Mark Cuban via Twitter regarding Jackson's hologram performance.

However, PR Representative Simon Smalls was not as mesmerized by the pseudo performance of the late King of Pop as Cuban was.

"Uncomfortable, odd and eerily interesting," tweeted Smalls. "Not quite sure what to feel. #MissingMJ"

Viewers of Sunday's awards show also commented about Jackson's computer animated appearance when he performed "Slave to the Rhythm" from his new Xcape album on May 18.

"I enjoyed it. Could have had better face but overall it was great. Will have it on repeat," wrote fan Barbara Taylor via her Twitter account.

Another fan also agreed that Jackson's holographic face could of look more like the deceased 50-year-old music performer.

"I wish it would have actually looked like him," wrote Emily Collins on her Twitter page.

Before his passing five years ago, Jackson was planning on having a final comeback concert tour titled "This Is It" which would have begun on July 13, 2009 at the O2 Arena in London England. The proposed 50 show tour would have ended on March 6, 2010.

"I just wanted to say that these will be my final show performances in London. When I say this is it, it really means this is it", said Jackson in a press conference at the O2 Arena on March 5, 2009, hinting it would have been his "final curtain call."

Jackson died June 25, 2009 in his mansion after his personal physician Conrad Murray could not resuscitate him after an overdosing of drugs (propofol and benzodiazepine). Jackson is survived by his siblings, his parents Joe and Katherine and his three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II (aka Blanket).
