Bill Nye the Science Guy and Answers in Genesis Founder Ken Ham Host Evolution vs Creation Debate in February

Prominent Creation apologist and bestselling Christian writer Ken Ham will have a discussion at the Creation Museum with TV host and Evolution expert, Bill Nye the Science Guy on February 4.

Ham is an Australian ex-science teacher who relocated to the USA more than 25 years ago. He believes the universe was created by God. However, the host of the hit 90's children science series will express his evolutionist viewpoint that the universe was created by The Big Bang Theory in this historic discussion between both men.

Each gentleman will convey what he believes is the best evidence currently available for his viewpoint. Furthermore, each man will have a chance to refute each other and later answers questions given by the spectators at the Creation Museum.

The impending February 4 discussion has already caused major buzz from national media, and tickets to join the debate live were sold out within minutes.

"If we raise a generation of students who don't believe in the process of science, who think everything that we've come to know about nature and the universe can be dismissed by a few sentences translated into English from some ancient text, you're not going to continue to innovate," said Nye in a September 2012 discussion with The Associated Press.

The Creator and President of Answers in Genesis requested his fans to pray for him because does not like public debates.

"...But this debate will help highlight the fact that so many young people are dismissing the Bible because of evolution, and even many young people who had grown up in the church decided to leave the church because they saw evolution as showing the Bible could not be trusted," wrote Ham on his Answers in Genesis blog on January 2.

The debate is to be held in the 900-seat Legacy Hall lecture arena at the Creation Museum, funded by Answers in Genesis.

The live stream of the debate will be available for free on YouTube briefly after the debate. The event will also be documented for a DVD and digital download release to help balance substantial costs in establishing and supporting the discussion.
