Beyonce vs Taylor Swift Net Worth 2014: Beyonce Earns Double Any Other Female Artist

Beyonce grabbed the No.1 spot in Forbes' "Top 10 Earning Women in Music for 2014," putting Taylor Swift, who just released her newest 1989 album, in second place.

Beyonce amassed $115 million from June 2013 to June 2014, overshadowing Swift to become the top earning woman in music this year, Forbes reported on Tuesday.

"Like everyone else, you work really hard and you want it to be great; you want your friends to like it," the "Single Ladies" singer shared.

"What makes me feel comfortable is practice and knowing I'm prepared," she added.

Swift's earnings weren't shabby either; the "Shake It Off" singer earned $64 million in the same time period. However, with Swift's pop 1989 album out for just one week, the game may turn around in her favor.

Meanwhile, the "If I Were A Boy" singer has something under her sleeve as well, as the singer recently revealed that a platinum set version of her 2013 surprise album would arrive in November.

Beyonce grabbed the fourth spot last year with $53 million while the number one spot went to sultry singer Madonna with $125 million in earnings.

Now, Beyonce not only grabbed the number one spot from Madonna, but accomplished a monumental feat as well-the "Listen" songstress doubled her 2013 earnings, with $8 million to spare.

One of the factors that brought her up the pedestal is her 2014 Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, which, according to Huffington Post "was one of the most publicized [tours] of the year]." Forbes estimates she earned about $2.4 million per city per leg of her tour.

Other factors were the surprise December album and several endorsement stints with big names like H&M and Pepsi.

Meanwhile, Swift won't back down, as she has endorsement deals with CoverGirl, Diet Coke, and Subway, and an upcoming world tour in 2015.

On a side note, rock princess Pink finished as No. 3 on the Forbes list ($52 million); Rihanna ranked No. 4 ($48 million); and Katy Perry placed No. 5 ($40 million). Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears comprised the rest of the top 10.
