'Below' News: Capybara Delays Release Date For Better Quality Game

Fans have to wait a bit longer for Capybara Games and Microsoft Studios' upcoming "Below," as its release date has been postponed.

On Aug. 18, Capybara Games wrote on its official website that their team had worked hard to make the title's deadline a reality, but they had decided it was not ready, even after a strong push. As per the studio, they had done a lot of soul searching and they had known they had wanted to get it into players' hands as soon as possible.

Capybara also told fans that instead of giving them a new and loose release date window, they would be going dark while they took the time that they needed to complete the game without compromise. The studio added that the next time fans saw a major "Below" update, that meant the title would have a firm release date, which they would share.

The studio also apologized for letting fans down with the said delay. However, it pointed out that they had to ascertain that the hard work they have put into the game will turn into something gamers love.

"Below" was initially set to be released in this summer, Engadget reports. However, the studio apparently need more time to ensure an overall quality gaming experience. The website writes that "Below" is not the only title to have this issue.

Another title that experienced release delay include "Kentucky Route Zero's" fourth chapter, which was released after the series had a three-year rest. The same thing happened to "Final Fantasy XV," which is set to be released in November instead of Sept. 30.

"Below" is an adventure video game played from a top-down point-of-view. Set on a remote island, players assume the role of a small warrior exploring its depths. Survival is the theme, along with exploration strategies and the title forces players to experience a challenging gaming experience with battles and deaths. The game can be played either in single-player or multiplayer mode.

"Below" was originally set to be released for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows this year.
