Beckah Shae's 'Champion' Album Features Israel Houghton, T-Bone, and More (VIDEO)

Pop artist Beckah Shae is preparing to release her eighth album with Shae Shoc Records titled Champion, available nationwide on May 6.

For this upbeat new electronic dance album, Beckah brought in the all-stars including Israel Houghton, Crystal Lewis, Eric Dawkins, Canon and T-Bone. In addition to collaborating with chart toppers, the singer/songwriter co-wrote with mainstream heavy hitters such as Crystal Nicole (Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rihanna) and Eric Dawkins (Justin Bieber, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera). With the help of Shae's husband and constant production collaborator Jack Shocklee, the finished result is a contagious 15-track record fused with pop, electronic, dance, and hip hop sounds.

Inspired by Hebrews 12:2 to remind believers to keep their eyes firmly planted on Jesus, the one and only Champion of our faith, Shae wanted to encourage listeners to be a Champion for God, for others and themselves. Having personally battled with eating disorders, poverty and a broken family, Shae has overcome her war with low self- esteem and has embraced the person God created her to be and is determined to see others to join her in this triumph.

In 2010, she garnered two consecutive Top 10 hits at CHR radio ("Here In This Moment" and "Life") and was featured as iTunes' "Discovery Download" of the week.Shae received her first Dove Award nomination in 2011 in the category of Urban Recorded Song of the Year for "Life"

Shae is also a gifted writer and co-wrote several songs and featured on the title-track of Montell Jordan's album, Shake Heaven. Shae also appeared in the movie soundtrack I'm in Love with a Church Girl.
