Batman vs Superman Movie News, Plot Rumors: 'Man of Steel' On Trial in New 'Dawn of Justice' Film

There are new reports that claim that Superman will be on trial by the US government because of the events that occurred in the first 'Man of Steel' movie in 2013.

During his epic battle with his fellow Kryptonians (General Zod, Faora and Jax-Ur), the city of Metropolis was completely demolished as result of the deadly clash.

"A major action scene was shot in July in one of the big studios in Detroit. Without giving too much away... it involves Superman and the United States Capitol building in Washington D.C," said an insider, according to a Batman-News report.

The insider went on to mention, "Superman will have to answer for what happened at the end of Man of Steel. Half the public blames him for all the death and destruction. If it wasn't for Superman being there, General Zod would have never come to Earth."

According to an IGN report, actress Holly Hunter plays a US Senator, while Scoot McNairy (who has been rumored to play either The Joker or The Flash) might instead be playing as an amputee that was injured during Kal-El and General Zod's fight to death, which Superman did not want to participate in.

In other 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' news, Batman (as his alter ego Bruce Wayne) will compete in a MMA match, similar to 'The Fight Club' movie from the 1990's.

The new 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on March 25, 2016.
