'Batman vs Superman' Movie Cast News, Plot Rumors: Ben Affleck Reveals Storyline Spoilers for 'Dawn of Justice' Film

'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' star Ben Affleck revealed what major storylines and settings fans can expect to see involving the popular DC characters in the future blockbuster film.

"There are things to be discouraged by here [in Detroit] and there are things to be inspired by here. I find it really dynamic. There are parts that look like Metropolis and parts that look like Gotham City," said Affleck, according to the Detroit Free Press.

In addition to confirming the two major film settings (Metropolis and Gotham City) the 42-year-old California native also revealed the influence behind director Zack Snyder's upcoming film. He mentioned that the movie will be heavily influenced by Frank Miller's iconic 'The Dark Knight Returns' graphic novel, which featured a middle aged version of the Caped Crusader.

"Everyone's influenced by that. It's the seminal work. I don't think there's any [Batman movies] that have been made without drawing from that book because it's so good," said Affleck to MTV News.

"I think if you're smart, you steal from the best."

The 'Argo' actor also addressed some of the fans' criticism regarding him replacing Christian Bale as the newest Batman in the potential cinematic masterpiece.

"What has been interesting for me is that this is the movie that people come up to me and are very excited [about]," he said on the 'Today' show.

"You have all of this attention - some of it's positive, some of it's negative. In the end, you make the movie and it either works or it doesn't. It's the same with 'Gone Girl', '50 Shades of Grey' or 'Star Wars', 'Batman', 'Lord Of The Rings' - these cultural stories that people have attachments to, they care very much about it. The fans have imagined it, they write fan fiction and get really into it and they are entitled to those feelings."

The new 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.

The 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' film is expected to arrive in movie theaters on March 25, 2016.
