‘Banshee’ Season 4 Premiere Date, Cast: Lucas Attempts To Make Up with Carrie; Hunted Down by Mob Gangster [TRAILER]

With its video teaser and several other spoilers surfacing online, it seems that season 4 of action-drama series "Banshee" will feature a more emotionally dismal plot compared with the earlier seasons.

According to reports, the season will revolve around Lucas Hood and his romantic involvement with Carrie Hopewell, his former girlfriend. The season will center on his attempts to make matters up with Carrie, but troubles will arise as a mob gangster led by crime lord Proctor hunts him down.

In the teaser, Lucas is seen standing in front of a burning house, which might have been another attempt by Proctor to put him down.

The teaser appears to suggest that Lucas might die at the end of the upcoming season, but fans can never be so sure as "Banshee" has always been known for endings that are not in the cards.

Aside from Lucas' attempts to win back Carrie and preserve himself from the gangster, season 4 will also feature how he goes through some grave drinking problem as he is plagued by his woeful past.

According to Jonathan Trooper, creator of the series, season 4 will have at least eight episodes and will mark the end of the entire series.

In an interview, he disclosed plans of returning for another season and why the idea was subsequently dropped.

"While we certainly considered returning for a fifth season, I always said that when the story was told, it would be time to move on and that time has come," he said.

The new season will feature new cast members, including Eliza Dushku who will play the role of an FBI agent, Ana Ayora who will play the role of a Banshee deputy, and Casey LaBow who will play Maggie. The entry of a new serial killer is also something to watch out for.

"Banshee" season 4 will premiere on April 1, 2016 on Cinemax.
