'Bad Boys 3' Movie Cast News, Release Date Rumors: Film In the Works, Will Smith Onboard?

The third addition to the action comedy film, 'Bad Boys', is rumored to be hitting the cinemas late 2015. The duo of Burnett and Lowery will be back for the third time, and the lead cast, Martin Lawrence, recently announced confirmed this during his interview on the late night show 'Conan', hosted by Conan O'Brien.

As per Christian Post, fans of Lawrence have expressed their interest in this newest installment to the 'Bad Boys' franchise. However, his partner in the film, Will Smith, who portrayed the role of Detective Mike Lowrey, has not given word about his reprisal in the upcoming film.

The producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, stated that one of the issues they've had with production so far, is Will Smith's involvement.

Currently, Will Smith is working on two feature films, which leads many to believe that he wont have the time for 'Bad Boys 3'.

On a positive note, Lawrence says that the movie is definitely going to happen. He said that he has spoken with Bruckheimer and they are currently looking into the script.

The actor is evidently eager to do crazier shootouts and car chase scenes this time around. Last July, Lawrence took to Facebook and posted an message that said it's been 11 years since 'Bad Boys 2' released. He intended this post be a celebratory message, with the intent to hint at a third installment in the franchise.

This duo of Lawrence and Smith had debuted in the first 'Bad Boys' film in 1995. The follow-up film, 'Bad Boys 2' was released in 2003 and earned the nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture.

As it stands, there's no release date for 'Bad Boys 3' beyond rumors, but fans should still look forward to hearing more good news about the upcoming blockbuster's production.
