Singer-songwriter Austin French on Friday released his anticipated full-length debut solo album, Wide Open, on Awaken Records. Along with the project's title track, the twelve-track record also features French's smash hit "Freedom Hymn," as well as the powerful song "Why God," which French shared early with fans on Facebook, paying tribute to victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting in May.

The album's current single, "Born Again," also stands out after recently breaking the Top 30 at Billboard's Airplay National Audience chart after only three weeks. In addition, Wide Open also features the upbeat summer anthem, "Good Feeling," which made its way to television in promotion for NBC's singing competition "The Voice."

Together, French's songs have garnered over twelve million streams and been included on top playlists on Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and more. In addition, French was also named Fox Sports Channel's September Artist of the Month.

On Wide Open, French has taken real struggles from his own life and written them into songs that he hopes are universally understood.

"These songs didn't come from a place of holding back," he explains. "These songs didn't come because I said, 'God, would you do as little as possible in my life this year?' They came from, 'God, would you do what you're going to do? Would you do miracles in front of me?'"

Wide Open is available for streaming and download everywhere now, with links to most digital music services here.
