Attack on Titan Season 2 Movie Release Date News: Set to Launch 2015, Part 1 Film Premiere Date Nov. 22

While there is still no confirmation about an 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 release date, the production for the installment seems to have progressed since the show was renewed for a second season.

The last time fans of the anime got a chance to see a new episode of the series, was when the first season ended, September 28, 2013. Since then it's been about a year, and fans are getting anxious as to when they'll be able to catch some new storyline and plot.

For now, it seems that rumors are the only thing buzzing around the Internet on the matter, and with that, it's speculated that 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 will air sometime next year.

According to Christian Post, OVA series, a short spin-off, was announced in August. The two episode series will be based on the prequel manga entitled 'Attack on Titan: No Regrets'. The release date for OVA is expected to be on December 9, 2014 and April 9, 2015, along with the 15th and 16th volume of manga series.

Apart from that, OVA, which consists of two episodes only, will be combined into one theatrical movie. 'Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow' will showcase the first 13 episodes. It will be released on November 22, 2014. The second film, 'Attack on Titan Part 2: Wings of Freedom' will bring in the remaining episodes. The second movie is expected to be released in 2015.

For those who are unfamiliar, 'Attack on Titans' is a story about three friends, Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. They must battle human freedom against the Titans. The three best friends joined the military, which is divided into three divisions, the Recon Corps, Military Police and Garrison to rid the world of the massive and dangerous Titan threat.
