The TV adaptation of the hit Japanese manga series 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 is scheduled to come in 2016. The new series will pick off from where the first season, which started in October 2014, ended.

Christian Today reports that it appears production for 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 has been delayed purposely keeping in view the fact that Season 1 has already covered more than 50 percent of what was released already. Therefore, the delay is due to the wait for newly published chapters.

Meanwhile, the names of actors as well as the director of 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 have been announced. The actors who will be starring in 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 include Yuki Kaji, Marina Inoue and Yui Ishikawa. It has also been confirmed that Tetsuro Araki will be directing the second season of the series.

Fans of 'Attack on Titan' will be happy to know that Season 2 will not have any more filler episodes. In other words, Season 2 will bring more genuine chapters that are not only truthful, but also worth watching.

Fans, who are getting impatient and cannot wait longer, can check out two prequels for the meantime.

In addition to these, two live 'Attack on Titan' movies are also scheduled for release this year. These movies are produced by Toho Studios, and it will mark the entry of 'Attack on Titan' in US theaters. These films are slated for consecutive releases - the first one will be released in August, while the second one will come in September.

As 2016 is still a long way off, fans should be satisfied with the prequels and the live-action film, at least for the time being.
