'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Air Date & Spoilers: Preview Trailer Unveils Priest Worshiping The Walls

Fans of the hugely popular anime series "Attack on Titan" have been waiting for quite a while now for any official update on its next installment, especially since the final episode of the first season left many questions unanswered.

One of the biggest questions that fans want to be answered has something to do with the big reveal in the season one finale, which is the Titan in the wall. Recently, a preview promo for the upcoming season was released, showing a priest from a religious denomination that worships the walls, which protect the city. In the promo, the squad leader, Hange Zoe, is shown asking the priest about it.

Those who have read the manga on which the anime series was based may have an advantage over those who haven't when it comes to speculating what is in store for the next season. As to why it has taken so long for the second installment to premiere, there are speculations that while the first season managed to stay faithful to the manga, the writers of the series have to take certain liberties so as to make sure that the transition of the story from the manga to the TV series is fluid.

Moreover, there are rumors that the manga still does not have enough chapters to justify a transition into another full season consisting of 25 to 26 episodes.

When it comes to its storyline, there is a huge possibility that season 2 will reveal the identity of the monstrous titan inside the wall. It may also cover the backstory of the other members of the Survey Corps.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to be released in 2017.
