Apollo Nida Interview on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Phaedra Parks Divorce: Broken Marriage Hardest on Children

Apollo Nida said during an interview that he and 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star Phaedra Parks have ended their marriage.

In an interview last Friday with Atlanta Be 100! Radio, Nida was asked by show host Rodney Perry, whether he thought his marriage would survive his impending prison time.

"I doubt it. I mean, my wife didn't even [expletive] show up for my sentencing, so I'm still kind of salty about that," Nida said.

35-year-old Apollo Nida, father to Ayden (3) and Dylan (14 months) by Parks said that he feared his current situation would affect his children the most.

"I love my kids," Nida said, "Coming from a non-father, non-mother background, I think at the end of the day, I feel sad and disappointed that I let my little man down."

"It doesn't make you less of a man to cry, to shed tears. I'm really upset about how I was raised and I could possibly take my sons through the same thing," Nida said when asked about his children.

"But by the grace of God he's still young and we have many years ahead of us. I just cant make those same mistakes," he added.

Nida said that the state he's in was "hell," he continued on saying that he has already forgiven himself and will do what he can to move on.

Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison on July 8 due to multiple counts of fraud, money laundering and identity thief. The star is facing up to a 30 years maximum sentence.

Nida was also ordered by a judge to pay nearly $2 million in restitution payments "due and payable immediately" to his victims, the court papers stated.

The personal trainer and reality star said that by God's grace, he would pay back the $1.9 million.
