Amy Grant, Tori Kelly Team Up For Silver Anniversary Of ‘Baby Baby’; Available From April 29

The 25th anniversary edition of "Baby Baby," performed by Amy Grant and Tori Kelly, is available for purchase online starting today, April 29. The song, which came out in 1991, has been updated with a more upbeat tune to reach out to today's audiences.

In an interview with People, Amy Grant said that that producer Dave Garcia intermixed the original version she sang with Tori Kelly's new vocals for the 25th anniversary edition of "Baby Baby."

"Tori is such an incredible vocalist, one of the most effortless singers I have ever heard, and once she starts singing it is like a rocket engine has been strapped on to the song and she takes us all on a ride," she said. "I really think she knocked it out of the park."

She also added that she had not met Kelly up until they decided to record together for the 25th anniversary edition of "Baby Baby." However, Grant had heard about the singer thanks to her 15-year-old daughter who is a big fan.

When it came out in the early 90s, "Baby Baby" immediately climbed to the top of the Top 40 and Billboard Hot 100 charts. It also consistently landed in the top ten most requested song in ten countries. The album the single appeared on, "Heart In Motion," was certified five times platinum by the RIAA.

Amy Grant is one of the most successful gospel singers who transitioned to pop star as she managed to produce six platinum albums, three multi-platinum albums and four gold albums in a span of 30 years. Her albums has raked in a total of over $30 million throughout her career. She has also won six Grammys and 26 Dove Awards.
