It seems that all the former cast members of the 'American Horror Story' are returning to the anthology series. Entertainment Weekly reports that actress Lily Rabe, who featured in all the previous four seasons of the horror television series, will be returning for the upcoming 'Hotel' installment.

According to Latin Post, currently Rabe is starring in the ABC thriller series titled 'The Whispers.' The actress has been a regular cast member in the first three seasons of 'American Horror Story' and also did a cameo in the 'Freak Show' installment. Fans saw her in the 'Freak Show' when the returning character Pepper from 'Asylum' had a flashback sequence. Rabe played an evil nun at the institution in the sequence.

In 'American Horror Story: Hotel,' Rabe will be portraying the character of a serial killer. In the show, she is not simply any serial killer, but she is famous as well. However, the showrunners have yet to reveal whether the actress will be portraying a real-life person or a fictional character in 'Hotel.'

Rabe will be portraying a character, which had stayed at the hotel in the past, giving a clear indication that she will be appearing in the show as a ghost, possibly an evil ghost.

According to the report, 'American Horror Story' is reputed for interweaving real-life characters into their story lines. In Season 1 of the horror TV series on FX, the woman who was named 'The Black Dahlia' by the media in the early 20th century owing to her bizarre Hollywood murder also made an appearance in the series. In the show, it was fictionalized to depict the people in the house as those who cut her body up and dumped the pieces.

In 'American Horror Story' Season 3, the 'Coven' installment featured the successors of Salem witches who relocated to the New Orleans coven.

In the upcoming season of the show, Rabe will be joining cast members Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Cheyenne Jackson.
