'American Horror Story: Hotel' Release Date: Actress Angela Bassett Confirmed to Return to AHS

Word has recently been confirmed on Angela Bassett's return to 'American Horror Story: Hotel,' in an undisclosed role.

The news came from showrunner Ryan Murphy. He tweets:

"In October, Angela Bassett will be making lots of trouble with Lady Gaga in the ballroom and elsewhere. ?#ahshotel"

Bassett starred in the series' last two seasons of the anthology series, 'Coven,' and 'Freak Show.'

"The Oscar-nominated actress first made her horrifying debut on 'AHS' during Season 3 of the spooky installment. Bassett starred as Marie Laveau, the queen of Voodoo, in 'Coven' before taking on the role of the three-breasted wonder Desiree Dupree in Season 4's 'Freakshow'."

"That made me put the script down, walk away, and stop there," the actress dished her reaction to Vulture in November 2014.

Bassett now joins a cast consisting of newcomers, such as Cheyenne Jackson and Lady Gaga, but will reunite with the recently confirmed cast of Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Chlöe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, and Matt Bomer.

It's already been revealed that the series' lead actor, Angela Lange will unfortunately not be returning for this series.

"With apologies to everyone who had their hopes up that the show's upcoming 'radical reinvention' would lure her back: Jessica Lange is really and truly done with American Horror Story. During the show's annual appearance at PaleyFest, the actress once again confirmed that she's through with the FX anthology series: 'We had a great run', she offered," writes Vanity Fair.

'American Horror Story: Hotel' is expected to return to FX this coming October 2015.
