Amazing Spider-Man 3 Release Date, Plot Rumors: Dr Octopus, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman, Kraven to Be Revealed

After the successful box office opening of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" on May 2, filmmaker Marc Webb revealed that he is now looking forward to the future "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" and "The Sinister Six" movies, which will star some of Spider-Man's greatest villains: Doctor Octopus, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman and especially the deranged Kraven the Hunter.

"Kraven. I like the idea of Kraven. The Vulture. Ock. I always though the idea of Mysterio was interesting. Maybe Scorpion. But really, Kraven I think is kind of interesting," said Webb to Comicbook.com.

In another interview, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" film director revealed that the upcoming Spider-Man movie would be the end of his tenure as the director of the beloved comic book character from Marvel Comics. Drew Goddard will direct the "The Sinister Six" movie.

"I've had so much fun doing it, but after the third movie, it'll be the time to find something else," said Webb to The Daily Beast. "I'd like to be involved as a consultant, and I've already talked to these guys about it."

He also revealed that he would like to see the wall crawler appear in a crossover film with other Marvel characters in the future.

"We're building out a more complicated Spider-Man universe with characters that people haven't seen in other Spider-Man movies-The Sinister Six, Venom, and more," said Webb. "We'd all love to overlap with other studios, but it's beyond my pay grade."

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 co-producer Matt Tolmach (along with long-time Spider-man producer who has been involved with Peter Parker's alter ego since the iconic 1990's cartoon "Spider-Man: The Animated Series") let fans know when to expect the upcoming films based on Spider-Man and his villains.

"Before we know what we do with Spider-Man 4, we're going to do Sinister Six, Venom and Spider-Man 3. There is going to be a lot of crossover in those movies. So we're just not at Spider-Man 4, because we still have a whole other Spider-Man movie and two other movies. So we don't know yet what (Spider-Man 4) is going to be," said Tolmach to Den of Geeks.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 3" is expected to arrive in movie theaters on May 27, 2016. In addition, "The Amazing Spider-Man 4" is slated to launch in theaters on May 4, 2018.
