AirAsia Flight QZ8501 Latest Update News: What Caused the Crash? Various Theories Emerge

It has now been confirmed that the ill-fated Airbus 320-200 of AirAsia crashed into the Java Sea, as some of the victim's bodies have been recovered by rescue teams.

Initially, there were doubts about the fate of the plane and similarities were being explored with the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 last year. But this was no mysterious disappearance - it had crashed.

The possible reasons of the crash will be known once the Black Box of the aircraft is recovered and its data is analyzed by experts. Till then one can only make wild guesses, and since it is established that the pilot of the Boeing aircraft wanted to climb to a higher altitude, due to bad weather, and permission did not come through, this could be a possible cause.

The plane had not issued a distress signal as revealed Reuters and disappeared after its pilot failed to get permission to fly higher. He wanted to avoid bad weather because of heavy air traffic. It seems the aircraft was climbing at a speed of 353 knots - this was nearly 100 knots too slow and could have sent the aircraft into a stall.

Reports also claimthat Lieutenant Airman Tri Wobowo, has seen and found eight bodies of the victims- some of them were holding hands. This would indicate that they had some prior knowledge about the impending crash.

Lieutenant Airman Tri Wobowo was co-pilot of one of the Hercules aircraft that was on a search and rescue mission and was checking out the waters for telltale signs of the wreckage of the plane, the location was off the coast of Borneo. He has told the Indonesian national newspaper Kompas - "there are seven to eight people. Three [of them] again hold hands."

Six of the bodies have since been recovered and the grim task of finding others has gone into the fourth day. Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency chief has confirmed about the discoveries and has indicated that one of the bodies was that of a flight attendant.
