Air1 Radio Introduces New Morning Show Hosts Eric Calhoun and Heather Shelly

The Air1 Morning Show welcomed Eric Calhoun and Heather Shelly as its new co-hosts beginning yesterday Tuesday, April 14.

Previously the Air1 morning show host was Mandy Young, who's been with the network for five years, and is moving to middays. Before joining Air1's Morning Show, the dynamic duo of Eric and Heather had been co-hosting their syndicated morning show since 2008 from their respective stations - WRCM (New Life 91.9) Charlotte and NC/WMHK (89.7) Columbia, SC - both signals recently purchased by K-LOVE this year.

"We are excited for the Air1 listeners to be introduced to the on-air experience that Eric and Heather create that is fun, compelling, encouraging and relevant to the audience," said Air1's Chief Creative Officer, David Pierce in a press release. "Both Eric and Heather are just wonderful and will bring something special to the Air1 Morning Show every day!"

Eric and Heather come to Air1 with extensive experience in radio in a variety of formats. Eric has 34 years in radio in Top 40, Hot AC, Country, Rock and Christian radio formats. He made his radio debut at age 16 and explored the various formats until he made the conscious decision to join Christian radio.

Heather has 28 years in radio where she has been heard in various cities such as WUSN/Chicago, WGRR and WLW/Cincinnati and as a morning co-host on BILLY GRAHAM MINISTRIES WMIT (The Light) Ashville. Her voice can also be recognizable voice on commercials for national companies including Proctor & Gamble, State Farm, McDonald's and JCPenny. Heather has chosen to be a part of Christian radio to connect with people in a more meaningful way and make a difference in their lives everyday.
