'Agent Carter' Release Date, Spoilers: Marvel Releases Promo Clip for Upcoming Action Series [TRAILER VIDEO]

Marvel Studios has just released the latest trailer for the upcoming series, 'Agent Carter', and fans are starting to get excited to see Peggy Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, in action when the show premieres on ABC. The new series is set to launch in January 2015, and airs at 9:00 pm every Tuesday.

Stepping into the new trailer, the narrator in the promo clip says, "sometimes the best man for the job is a woman," which fits perfectly with the synopsis that's tied to the series.

According to the official synopsis released by Marvel, while Peggy Carter worked as a secret agent, she "lived in a different time when women weren't recognized as being as smart or as tough as their male counterparts. But no one should ever underestimate Peggy."

At the start of the promotional video clip, Peggy is seen pulling up her stockings and then the clip cuts to a gun being pulled out of a jewelry box.

In fact, from the promo as well as the official synopsis, it appears that 'Agent Carter' has lots of stunts and special effects. The promo shows Agent Carter punching a man, escaping from explosions, and firing her pistol.

Agent Carter is the focal point of the 15-second trailer released by Marvel. Hence, it is very natural that fans are eager to know what they can expect from the other casts of the show, including Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper), Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) and others.

Even though the exact release date of the series has not yet been confirmed, the trailer has announced that 'Agent Carter' is definitely going to premiere in January 2015. On that note, the new series is going to air right when another Marvel series goes on break, 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D'.

Beyond that, the trailer for 'Agent Carter' aslo reveals that the series will be "an eight-part television event," which means that there's a chance the show will only last for one season.
