Aaron Gillespie Releases Live Video for 'Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing' off 'Grace Through the Wandering'

Aaron Gillespie

Former Underoath drummer and vocalist, and current lead singer of The Almost, Aaron Gillespie, is getting ready to release his second worship album Grace Through the Wandering on February 3, and gave a preview of his cover of "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing."

Released exclusively for AlternativePress, he performed the song acoustically and then talked about it afterwards. The video was given a grainy feel, and it adds to the classic hymnal feel of the song. Watch the performance and interview here.

Gillespie explained that he rewrote the music and changed the feel of the song so he could bring it into his own. "That song is the moniker of the record...asking our Maker seal us, and tie us, and keep us down with grace."

The singer told BREATHEcast Grace Through the Wandering covers the searching of people as they look for God. "I think it's different and it comes at different times for every person. It's just a matter of where you are in life when you find that. I think everyone takes a little wander about. I kind of just wanted to put a period on that, and talk about the search and the discovery of that. I think it's something that people need to hear and I need to sing about."
