He told ABC News in 2013, "The thing that I'm most proud of in my life is that if a stranger came up to me and said, 'I can't stop drinking. I can't stop drinking. Can you help me?' I can say, 'Yes, I can help you.'"
In contrast to his role in "The Hangover" films, Bradley Cooper became sober at 29, telling GQ's 2014 issue about his substance abuse, "If I continued it, I was really going to sabotage my whole life."

Jennifer Hudson explained on "Chelsea Lately" in 2013 how difficult it was for her to play a heroin addict. "I've never done anything, so that was hard to play this role. I've never had a drink in my life. I'm sober. I'm like, 'Okay, this is new to me.' Normally as as actor, you have things to pull from. I was like, 'I don't know what it's like to feel any of that," she said.
Jennifer Lopez is known for her acting and her party songs, but the triple threat parties without drinking alcohol. "I think that ruins your skin. Of course, during celebratory toasts, everybody's like, 'You can't toast with water!' So I'll toast with alcohol and just take a sip," she told InStyle.
5.Jada Pinkett Smith
Actress Jada Pinkett Smith stopped drinking after she found herself over doing it. "I found myself drinking two bottles of wine on the couch and I said, 'Jada, I think we've got a problem here,'" she said according to Contact Music. From that day on I went cold turkey; I haven't had a drink in eight years."
After years of battling addiction to drugs and alcohol, rapper Eminem got sober several years ago. "You gotta remember I hadn't recorded a song sober in seven years. So it took me awhile to even feel like I could record a song sober ... I don't know the last time I shot a video sober, without drinking or taking anything. It's been years," he told Vibe.
Reality Star Kim Kardashian told People, "I do not drink alcohol at all. My sisters drink, so when they get a little crazy, I am there to pull them down."
Even amongst Christians the view on alcohol varies. According to Wikipedia, some believers consume alcoholic beverages as a common part of everyday life and use the Eucharist or Last Supper to defend their cause. Others take the position of allowing moderate use of alcohol while a majority of Evangelical leaders worldwide reject alcohol stating it conflicts with being a good Evangelical.
