A little boy from Pennsylvania laid hands in the name of Jesus on his sick aunt despite being advised not to, and what happened next shocked the entire family.  

In the Bible Jesus told His followers "Let the little children come to me," and that is exactly what little Joey, age 6, did when his aunt became extremely ill, according to Charisma News.

Joey's aunt Mindy was so sick she was not accepting visitors. After learning in Sunday school that he could hear God's voice and heal the sick, the young boy decided he needed to go and pray for his aunt. Charisma reported he "specifically said he wanted to pray for her in Jesus' name so she could be healed."

Mindy's family discouraged the young boy and his family from coming to see her and even told them not to bother to come. They said, "if you do, we won't let you in. She's too sick." But the boy, over come with learning that he could pray for the sick and see healing, was so insistent. 

Despite being told not to, Joey and his mom went to Mindy's house anyway. When they got there, Mindy's son, Mike, stepped aside and let Joey go into the room with his ill mother.

Joey's mom told the publication, "As we got into the house, I was shocked at how my sister looked. I hardly recognized her. She was so weak. She didn't even lift her head off the couch where she was laying covered up. She just opened her eyes and looked at us."

"Her skin was pale; there were dark circles under her sunken eyes," she continued. "There were beads of sweat on her forehead ... you would think she was dying."

Joey then reportedly went in the room, but Mindy did not want him there because of how sick she was. At that point Joey's mom said he looked at her and said, "'I came to pray for you. I'm going to heal you in Jesus' name.' They just stared at one another silently like they were having a conversation that both of them understood. And she relented."

"Joey put his hand on her head, and said, 'Heavenly Father, I ask you to touch my aunt Mindy and heal her, because we know by your stripes she is healed. Thank you for her healing in Jesus name. Amen," the mom of the boy testified.

The mom continued and said what happened next completely shocked her. "As he was praying I opened my eyes and stared in awe of the transformation I was witnessing," Joey's mom told Charisma. "It was miraculous. If I hadn't seen it for myself, I wouldn't have believed it. The color began to rise back in her face. Her dull eyes started to sparkle and shine. The person who was too weak to raise her head to see who was at the door a few minutes ago actually sat up!"

Mindy's son Mike then reportedly came into the room and was amazed to see his mother as well. "He said that he had tried to stop Joey from coming in but couldn't," the boys mother said. "Mindy said it was because he was sent from God. 'He was the answer to my prayers,' she said. Then she stood up and started walking around looking [for] candy and snacks to give to Joey."

The Bible instructs the followers of God to come unto God like a child. Joey displayed full confidence that God would heal. He also did not succumb to the fact that Mindy's family tried to stop him, he simply believe and prayed.
