24 Live Another Day New Season News: CEOs in Talks to Bring Back Jack Bauer

Fans of the '24: Live Another Day' are in luck because new reports are claiming that the series might just return to the air.

Previously, sources said that since the show tanked in ratings, Jack Bauer would most likely remain off the air for good.

However, Fox Network CEOs are seriously considering a renewal and are in talks about bringing back the series for more episodes. While it's still undetermined how and when they plan to bring back the show, at least fans have something to hope for.

It was during the annual Fall Launch party that Fox CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden spoke to the press about it, they said, "We are talking about it, thinking about when would be the best opportunity for it. We are checking with our creative partners how much enthusiasm they have for doing another installment."

While some sources claimed that the ratings for '24: Live Another Day' were far too poor to recover from, others said they weren't so bad. Even though the ratings weren't as high as other Fox shows such as 'Sleepy Hollow' or 'Family Guy', the Jack Bauer thriller series still pulled in 6.33 million viewers on average (2013-2014).

Walden and Newman had this to say about that, "We were really pleased with this past season, just thought creatively it was top-notch. That was a great reward to the fans of the show who were ready to see more episodes of Jack Bauer, and it was a great financial endeavor for all of us."

Evidently, the ratings weren't as bad as they were made out to be by some media outlets. Therefore, fans of the series can look forward to more news about a '24: Live Another Day' renewal as the days go by.

For anyone who missed the episodes while they aired on the Fox Network, '24: Live Another Day' is set for release on Blu-ray and DVD in the U.K on September 30th.
