2014 World Cup USA Goalie Tim Howard Inspires Hundreds to Tweet about Jesus (TWEETS)

USA soccer goalie Tim Howard took to Twitter after his amazing feats on the pitch Monday to speak of his faith in Jesus Christ.

Howard adamantly defended the US team's net into extra time before losing to Belguim in the World Cup "Round of 16" match June 1. ESPN Stats & Info said that Howard clocked in a record 24 saves for his home team in this year's World Cup, which surpasses any other goalkeeper during the tournament.

Howard, an outspoken Christian revealed in a former interview with Campus Crusade for Christ, "The most important thing in my life is Christ, He's more important to me than winning or losing or whether I'm playing or not. Everything else is just a bonus."

Due to Howard's performance and faith, fans flooded social media with Tweets comparing the soccer goalie to Jesus.

The tweets went on and on and although America is out of the World Cup, USA's goalie managed make a positive impression on the fans at home watching.
