'19 Kids & Counting' Star Josh Duggar Admits to Cheating on Spouse Using Ashley Madison Account; 'Biggest Hypocrite Ever' He Says

In what has been a very rough time for the Duggar family, stars of '19 Kids and Counting', it seems oldest son Josh is the news for all the wrong reasons again. Just a few months removed from Josh's molestation scandal, it has now been revealed that the former "Family Research Council" executive director had an Ashley Madison account.

Ashley Madison is a website that pits married couples together in a secret online matchmaking services that enables people to cheat on their spouse. The website was recently hacked, and the organization who claims to be seeking justice for people hurting others, released over 20 million accounts of information online to expose cheaters. One of those names on the account was Josh Duggar, and he has owned up to it.

In a statement that was released on the Duggar website, Josh said he had been living a secret life for "the last several years." During that time he developed a "secret addiction" to pornography and was admittingly unfaithful to his wife in a sense.

"I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him," he wrote.

The fallen from grace "family man" has realized how many people he has let down, and understands that along with his actions in the past and the recent developments now, he has "re-broken" everyone's trust.

According to reports by Gawker, Duggar paid roughly $1000 for a subscription to the online service from February 2013 until May 2015. An extra $250 was paid for a money-back "affair guarantee."

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have been unfaithful to my wife.

I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I have brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country I was hiding my own personal failures.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all the hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Josh Duggar"
