'Star Wars 7' Cast News: WWE's Sheamus as Darth Vader? Wrestler's Twitter Posts Offer Clues

The latest installment in George Lucas's Star Wars saga, 'Star Wars 7', is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18th of next year. Episode VII's production is currently in full swing, spearheaded by then-Star-Trek, now Star Wars director J.J. Abrams.

Recently, WWE wrestler Stephen "Sheamus" Farrelly hinted that he will be joining the intergalactic cast in a Twitter post where he initially revealed he was headed to Skellig Michael, an island in the Atlantic Ocean just north-west of Ireland, where the 'Star Wars 7' production team is said to be currently filming.

Sheamus later posted another tweet that gave yet another hint, this time a photo of what he said would 'reveal his Darth side', further sparking rumors that he is set to portray the iconic Darth Vader role. The Irish wrestler has reportedly already donned the Darth Vader suit before, during a promotional tour for the 1999 film, 'Star Wars: Phantom Menace'.

As of date, there is no official confirmation from the 'Star Wars 7' production or Lucas Films on whether Sheamus is in fact to play Darth Vader in the much-awaited film.

Episode VII producers are also yet to confirm if Luke Skywalker's father is indeed returning to the big screen for the upcoming Walt Disney movie.

Episode VII will be the first Star Wars installment to hit the big screen in six years. Officially confirmed to star in the movie so far are Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Leia, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Kevin Baker as R2-D2.
