Rebecca St. James makes Homecoming

09-13-2005 07:09

Even as you read, Australian fans are singing the lyrics to Rebecca St. James’ new, inspiring single “Alive” in anticipation of a stop in their town on the Aussie’s homecoming tour.

The successful Christian recording artist is hitting the road with both a new song list from her upcoming album, "If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something," and a fresh literary installment called SHE TEEN, which hit bookstores September 1st as the #1 offering in the youth category by a 2 to 1 margin.

SHE TEEN, a catching, high gloss, soft-back is being called a “bookzine”. While it is a full length, 200 page book, it has all the charm of a popular teen fashion magazine and boasts photos, sidebars, quizzes, how-to’s, stats, and, no doubt, very thought provoking inter-actives with Rebecca. With all the flash, it’s not hard to picture the book on campus, in coffee shops, on dorm bunks, and wherever you find teen girls looking for a fun read.

However, SHE TEEN promises to be more. It is an in depth source of guidance for its readers and a resource to issues such as dating, boundaries, peer pressures, relationships with parents, eating disorders, sexual and moral right choices. The title follows last years release of SHE which addressed wholeness of women, based on a return to biblical principals. With her third book, St. James’ goal is to addresses all facets of growing up to be “Safe, Healthy, and Empowered" in terms that teenage girls can both understand and relate to.

As far as music goes, Rebecca is getting reacquainted with her inner rocker girl with her newest studio effort, If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something, which is set for release November 22.
The record will be a return to her “rock roots” and is sure to be a message of the passion and revolution that she represents.

“It feels like a new day, a real exciting, fresh time in my life where I'm on a new journey .... and I'm probably more excited about making music than ever before.” says St. James in an interview that comes out this week in CRW. It would seem that we will be seeing a lot more of Rebecca as she continues her success as a musician and author motivated by the will of our Creator.
