YouTube Sensation Hopsin Releases Controversial Song Documenting His 'Lost Faith'; Challenges God to Prove Existence 'My Gut Feeling Says that it's all Fake' (VIDEO)

Rapper Hopsin is known for creating music that strikes a chord with his listeners, especially on his "Ill Mind" series of songs. His newest song, part 7, discusses that he began dabbling in Christianity but has now turned his back on it.

"...Call me a sellout/ I hopped on Christianity so strongly and then I fell out."

"Ill Mind 7" is a powerful track that discusses the loss of faith. From the beginning of the song we hear Hopsin carefully questioning his faith as those thoughts then turn into those of an agnostic and eventually an atheist.

In the song he fights with what he believes, what he has searched for, and what others have told him. Most Christians hit a point where they are stuck in their faith and begin to question God and His plan for their lives. However, Hopsin seems to be fed up with not hearing the voice of God and experiencing a true moment of clarity that distinguishes God is real.

"I look at the Earth and Sun and can tell a genius man designed it. It's truly mind blowing, I can't deny it. Is heaven real, is it fake, is it really how I fantasize it? Where's the Holy Ghost at? How long does it take for a man to find it?...You gave me the Bible and expect me not to analyze it?"

Hopsin yells out frustratingly that he can't read the Bible because humans wrote it, therefore he can not trust it. "Humans lying, we're such an inaccurate source."

Admitting humanity and how people need to get to the bottom of everything, he yells at God for proof of His existence. "You never show the proof... but I'm only human what am I supposed to do?"

"I don't know if you do or don't exist, it's driving me crazy" he says as he compares Adam and Eve speaking to God while he can't. Hopsin is searching for God's touch but is unable to grasp it.

Again he carefully ponders the words in his statements when he raps, "If Hell is truly a pit of fire and I get thrown in it, Imma probably regret the fact that I wrote this."

"My gut feeling says that it's all fake...I hate to say it...but I lost faith."

At the end of the song he issues a challenge to God, "If you ever cared for me then prove that I would have to live carefully." He goes off on a tirade cursing wildly denouncing all forms of any faith he had.

At the end of 2012 Hopsin was seen hanging out with Lecrae on a couple of occasions, and there were hints of a collaboration. In an interview, he admitted to having a "spiritual awakening," which is what he is referring to in his newest song.

"I feel like God is going, no, don't lose hope cuz these humans are driven by the ways of the flesh and they are all brainwashed. God is saying, just stick with me Marcus and everything is going to be good. Just follow my lead and everything is going to be good," he said to Hard Knock TV.

It is unsure where Hopsin falls in the spectrum of faith, but it appears he seems to be at the last straw unless he sees physical evidence of God. All we can do is pray that Hopsin comes back into contact with someone who can help him answer some of the questions he is seeking for.The video brings up a lot of points and topics that believers who have experienced true salvation can maybe attest to. However, for someone searching or someone who does not identify with faith, the song hits the nail on the head.
